The Association of Kandy Chartered Accountants (AKCA) is a non-profit professional association for the members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka who reside or are employed in the Central region of Sri Lanka. The purpose of the Association is to serve its membership and the Central region of the country by engaging in education, dialogue, discussions, conferences and other activities deemed appropriate for the purpose of the advancement of it's members, students and society in the field of accounting and related areas.

The main objectives of the AKCA are as follows:

1. Encourage and support continuous professional development of its membership through professional development programs.
2. Contribute to the advancement in the field of accounting and related areas in the Central region through various educational and training programs.
3. Promote the engagement of students in the field of accounting through a variety of means including participation at the events organized by the universities and the schools in the Central region.
4. Sponsor conferences and meetings that provide opportunities to discuss issues of interest to the profession, exchange ideas, and network with colleagues in the field of accounting and related areas.
5. Engage in other activities as may be appropriate for such an organization.
